Uniform Roe coronas

چکیده
A uniform Roe corona is the quotient of algebra a metric space by ideal compact operators. Among other results, we show that it consistent with ZFC isomorphism between coronas implies coarse equivalence underlying spaces, for class uniformly locally finite spaces which coarsely embed into Hilbert space. Moreover, property A, equivalent to bijective some their cofinite subsets. We also find such independent ZFC. All set-theoretic considerations in this paper are relegated two ‘black box’ principles.

On the Invariant Uniform Roe Algebra as Crossed Product
The uniform Roe C U G . The reduced C algebra C G is naturally contained in CU G . We show that the elements of l∞ which are invariant under are of the form l∞ . Finally we show that if and are bounded geometry discrete metric spaces, then
متن کاملCoronas for properly combable spaces
This paper is a systematic approach to the construction of coronas (i. e. Higson dominated boundaries at infinity) of combable spaces. We introduce three additional properties for combings: properness, coherence and expandingness. Properness is the condition under which our construction of the corona works. Under the assumption of coherence and expandingness, attaching our corona to a Rips comp...
متن کاملIridescent clouds and distorted coronas.
Near-forward scattering of sunlight generates coronas and iridescence on clouds. Coronas are caused by diffraction, whereas iridescence is less easily explained. Iridescence often appears as bands of color aligned with the edges of clouds or as apparently random patches of color on clouds. This paper suggests that iridescence is due to interference between light that has been diffracted by a sp...
متن کاملSimulating coronas in color.
Coronas are simulated in color by use of the Mie scattering theory of light by small droplets through clouds of finite optical thickness embedded in a Rayleigh scattering atmosphere. The primary factors that affect color, visibility, and number of rings of coronas are droplet size, width of the size distribution, and cloud optical thickness. The color sequence of coronas and iridescence varies ...
متن کاملCoronas and iridescence in mountain wave clouds.
We use Fraunhofer diffraction theory and meterological data to determine the nature of cloud-particle distributions and the mean particle sizes required for interpreting photographs of coronas and iridescence in mountain wave clouds. Traditional descriptions of coronas and iridescence usually explain these optical phenomena as diffraction by droplets of liquid water. Our analysis shows that the...
